Flavoured Black Tea

Green Tea

Green Tea is fresh tea with a light aroma generally known for its light green colour and health benefits and has a pleasing finish. It too goes through the same manufacturing process as black tea, except the tea is not allowed to ferment or oxidise. The fermentation is stopped through steaming the tea or pan-frying it. Green tea is said to contain the highest concentration of powerful antioxidants as it is made using these unfermented leaves. Normally, green tea is consumed without milk and after meals, though it can be drunk throughout the day. Regular consumption of green tea can help towards burning calories which is why it is the preferred beverage with people working towards losing weight. It is always best to drink freshly brewed green tea as the health benefits are said to reduce as the brew cools down.

Black Tea

Black Tea is generally bolder and stronger in taste than green tea. It has a rich flavour with a distinct bouquet and aroma and a dark red or brown hue. When brewed correctly it has a balanced and smooth taste that is full of natural goodness and perfect for everyday drinking. Black tea is the variety of tea that has gone through the standard manufacturing process of withering, rolling, fermentation and drying. It is the fermentation process of the fresh tea shoots that gives the tea its recognisable black colour. Black tea has antioxidants which helps towards a healthy lifestyle, with benefits said to include, a lower risk of diabetes, healthy bones, increased energy and stress relief, if consumed on a regular basis.
